Two more SAPPHIRE 5,300 delivered to Navios

In July 2024 Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard Co., Ltd delivered vessels ZIM PELICAN and ZIM SEAGULL to Navios Containers Management Inc. The vessels continues the successful series of the SAPPHIRE 5,300 design, as No. 6+7 already

The vessels are 237.8m in length and 38.8m in beam. Classed by DNV the designed as COMPACT CLASS, compared to others, the hold fits one additional row of containers below deck. With slender side boxes that really makes her compact compared to similar capacity designs. This results in less length and less gantry movements, thus less down time.

Equipped with ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD), AMP, SCR and BWMS the containership has low footprint in all aspects. Slight upgrades ensure staying best in class, within the series especially on machinery related items.

Several sister vessels will follow up within this year, all designed by Neptun.
